About Me
Bill Vernon – Artist, Land Developer, Songwriter, Musician
From Gainesville, Florida, to Franklin, North Carolina, my journey as an artist and land developer has been driven by a deep passion for creativity. Over the years, I have explored and excelled in multiple disciplines, from crafting collectible figurines to developing top-quality mountain land. My work is a reflection of my commitment to excellence and my love for bringing ideas to life, whether through sculpture, music, or landscape design.
Sculpture Work
My career as a sculptor began in 1974 and spanned three decades, during which I produced a wide variety of collectible figurines and home decor items. The most popular of these were The Shade Tree Cowboys and The Series of Evolution, both proudly MADE IN THE USA. These collections have been cherished by collectors worldwide, and I am grateful for the community of supporters who have appreciated my work.
In 1998, a devastating fire destroyed my studio in Franklin, NC, along with many of my sculptures, molds, and records. Despite this significant loss, I rebuilt and continued to create on a smaller scale, preserving the legacy of my art. Today, my work lives on through the limited edition sculptures that continue to be valued by collectors around the globe.
Music
Music has always been more than just a hobby for me—it’s a way to express my experiences and emotions. Over the years, I have written and recorded numerous songs, which are compiled in my “Still Alive” album. Through music, I find a unique connection with others, sharing stories and feelings that resonate across time and space.
